                   AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 6958, AS
                   AMENDED, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE, SO AS
                   TO ZONE A TRACT OF LAND LOCATED AT 1509
                   CAROLINA STREET, BEING ON THE SOUTHWEST LINE OF
                   CAROLINA STREET NORTHWEST OF ELINOR STREET, AND
                   919 CRAVENS TERRACE, BEING ON THE SOUTHWEST
                   LINE OF CRAVENS TERRACE NORTHWEST OF SOUTH
                   SCENIC HIGHWAY, TO R-1 ZONE.

              	   SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
         CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That Ordinance No. 6958, as
         amended, known as the Zoning Ordinance, be and the same is 
hereby
         amended so as to zone:
               
                A tract of land located at 1509 Carolina Street,
                being on the southwest line of Carolina Street
                northwest of Elinor Street, and 919 Cravens
                Terrace, being on the southwest line of Cravens
                Terrace northwest of South Scenic Highway.  Lot 25
                and part of lots 22, 27, and 29, Cravens and
                McMillins Addition to Lookout Mountain, as shown by
                plat of record in plat book 2, page 39, ROHC, and
                lot 2, James T. Williams III Subdivision, as shown
                by plat of record in plat book 35, page 58, ROHC,
                together with part of Carolina Street and part of
                Cravens Terrace; being the James T. Williams III
                Annexation Area as described in Chattanooga City
                Ordinance No. 10193.  Tax Map No. 155I-B-4 and 11.
               
         to R-1 Zone.

              	   SECTION 2.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this 
Ordinance
         shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage, as
         required by law.
